Hey everyone,

I have an 02 wrx sedan with about 40k miles

I have a coolant leak, it is on the passenger side of the engine block and there is a puddle of coolant on my engine block. The puddle is on the left hand side of the alternator and behind the power steering pump when standing infront of the car, it's not a big leak, and if I drive easy I barely loose any.

I also noticed there is coolant on the connection where the rubber hose meets the cast aluminum pipe (top hose). I felt along the bottom of the pipe and hose junction and there was coolant on my hands.

Could the coolant be leaking from that junction? seems a little far for the coolant to go from there to where the puddle is.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

I don't think it is my head gasket, no coolant in my oil and no oil in my coolant. The puddle is also very green (not milky).

I'll probably replace the hose and see if that fixes it (crosses fingers)

the small cross over pipe has two rubber hoses that are small check those for cuts they are right infront of the timing cover and sit pretty low

 

I'm not sure what cross over pipe your talking about. By cross over pipe do you mean the plenum?
