I had heard there is a easter egg in the transmission for the M3
This may sound bizzare but its only a rumor so *Pfft* all you techies. I heard that if you pressed a button combo in the right order you should be able to rev the with the transmission pushed up into upshift then release for a near perfect launch.
Anyone else heard that madness cause if its true i'll be like O.o;;

^true afaik, revs to 3k then dumps the clutch...if you convince the dealer to install the european software it'll rev to 5k i think..i remember reading it somehwere...sort of like a cheta in videogames
[QUOTE]I killed a 95 m3 with my 02 wrx all i have is RA -gears 5 zigen cat-back, and perrin filter, exedy clutch and act flywheel, I think he could not drive because i killed him like 3 cars lengths.
those m3's have the same performance numbers as a stock wrx. i raced a 98 m3 before and he beat me only by one car length. but thats because my car is still stock right now.

steering this conversation back into the realms of a WRX beating an M3....
is there a way to do it without a turbo swap?
I'm going to have the following setup soon
2002 Wagon
PDE uppipe
intake silencer delete (GP Moto)
Bellmouth downpipe
Borla hush TBE
Cobb Accessport stage 2
front+rear upper strut bars
22mm read sway bar
solid endlinks
anti-lift kit
steel brake/clutch lines
the Cobb stage 2 numbers off their web site are:
Acceleration Data:
0-60 mph : 4.6 seconds
1/4 mile : 13.4 @ 101.5 mph
these are numbes with OE uppipe
anyone know if this is true?

Are you Serious? Can you actually run a 13.3 with those mods? Can I get some feedback from other members too?

Yeah Im serious, I might have the boost setting wrong but Im pretty sure it is either 16 or 17 psi. He also has some weight reduction... when he put in front mount intercooler he had to take out the front bumper support aka about 50 less puonds.
