Be careful. Mini Mania has a kit that boosts the Mini S's power to 245 hp. I have seen the kit on a show car and it looks pretty nice. Last I heard they were finishing a new intercooler that boost the power even more. You just never know what you are racing.

 

i agree. like i said on the other thread, we shouldn't be so arrogant as to dismiss the MCS as a serious competitor. the STi is a superior machine, but the MCS is not in stock form, so we don't know what to expect.

 

So is the STI Stock? That dosen't seem fair. Whats good for the goose is good for the STI!

 

Put a limit on what they can spend. If the Mini has already spent it then put the same amount into the STi. Make it fair atleast !!

from my understanding after skimming that thread, the MCS is not stock and it is driven by a guy with 25 years of track experience.

we don't know about the STi, but it sounds like it'll be stock power with some suspension mods driven by a guy with no track experience (only canyon runs, etc).

i don't see how this is fair. i don't want to sound like a ***** and express doubt in the face of adversity, but if the STi loses, we'll be hearing about the MIGHTY STi losing to a mini cooper.

 

i read that too, thats kinda why i feel that the mini will have an advantage with a better driver

 

umm can i enter a pinto in this comp? if the sti driver is even half an *** he should beat the mcs.. those things ARENOT that fast

 

the race should be interesting. i want to see the outcome...there'll be enough cameras there to tape the event.

BTW a MIni ran a 15.3 @infineon 2night.
