Turboxs top mount intercooler

With this intercooler our a larger one does anyone know what you do with the seal because it it so much smaller

what seal are you referring to,
i took a razor to remove the seal from the were the stock bov is connected to and put on the tx tm with no problems.

Seal

The rubber seal in the hood scoop that comes down with the hood to seal the intercooler seems this affects air getting to the surface of it

you have to remove that, i had the same problems, phil from turboxs said it had to be removed.
its very simple to do

just the rubber seal or the whole assembly

thanks let me know if you ever put a different air splitter on heard a couple people put the sti air splitter for now I will just take the stock one off

I don't get this mod at all. It seems that the intercooler needs to get cooler outside air to flow through the core to drop the charge temperature. Subaru put it there for a reason. I understand that the larger intercooler creates interference, but it seems like a new seal should be designed to mate up to it.

I dont understand either. I always thought air takes the path of least resistance. Which in this case would go around the IC not through it as effectively as with a shroud.
