SAFC or Fully Programmable system???
SAFC or Fully Programmable system???
When time comes I plan on getting a JDM WRX engine, etc etc etc for a complete swap, and the time may be getting very close to doing this, and I have a question about managing the engine.
If I were to do some big power upgrades at the time of install, depending on money at the time, I may go with a TD05-18g w/ upgrades to the injectors etc etc to get me about 380ish hp
Would it be better to go with an SAFC or a fully programable management system???
I think that makes sense

SAFC can get the job done... however, its highly limited to what it can do... only plus is easy on the fly user adjustability.
something like the Unichip works much in the same way the SAFC does, however also controls timing which is where you get the big hp from...
But if your gonna pick up a Unichip youll have to find someone to do the programming/reflashing as there is NO end user prgrammability supported (ie- some people have gotten boot leg copies of the software however).
Compared to the SAFC, the Unichips kills it in every area but the on-the-fly, and end user aspects.
Now if you were gonna go Unichip it wouldnt pay to get a brand new one... you'd be better off picking one up used (BTW- I am selling one
)... for the price of a new one, your more than halfway to the Link...
