ticking sound is worrying me

ticking sound is worrying me
i have an 05 sti...and i just started noticing a ticking or a tacking sound whenever i shift and release the clutch...but if i just press the clutch and release it there's no sound...only when i shift....does anyone have an idea of what this is?..thanks
