Shifter Question- Please Help!!!
Hi everyone,
Just got a 2005 wrx sedan 3 weeks ago and I am loving it. Recently my shifter has become somewhat loose or kinda sloppy feeling when changing gears. It does not feel as 'tight' anymore. Is this normal? And should this happen after just driving the car 1000 miles? Did I mess around to much with my car when shifting gears??? Can someone please help me? thanks so much!

First off, what mods do you have? It should feel more loose the more you drive the car, but after 1000 miles, this sounds a little strange... The stock shifter has kind of a mushy feel to it. You may want to bring your scooby in to the dealer just to make sure, though.
A lot of people like short shifters and the stiffer shifter bushings to kind of firm up the feel of the shifter. Do a search for short shifter and you should have a better idea...
