Drivetrain thumping when under torque...need help!
I have a 2006 Sti and the only mod I have done to the drivetrain is a more aggressive clutch. When I let the clutch out from a stop and then give significant throttle, I can feel my drivetrain thumping against the bottom of my car...or at least I think it's the bottom. I can feel the thumping (not hear it) when I have my arm on the center console. I've heard that the bushings on the '06 STi where substandard replacing them may fix the issue. Has anyone experienced this with there 2006 STi? How did you fix it? If you replaced bushings or any other part, can you provide me the details so I can buy the item ASAP. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated because I have been staying off the track until I fix this and I am having withdrawals. Thanks!
