Clutch or tranny gone?
yeah so i have an ACT clutch and Jun Flywheel in my 99 RS
the clutch was installed with around 24k miles on it and i THINK it is blown @49k miles on it.. what happened is it startd slippin, just a little, if i gave it a lot of gas at low RPM in any gear. As i drove it, and please dont flame but, Raced it, it got worse and worse to the point when it would just stay at 5k RPM, pull HARD as HELL, and once the cars speed got to where it would be at 5k, keep traveling to 6k no slip. ANYway, the nail in the coffin was when i was on the turnpike and raced an A6 in 5th gear holding at 5krpm for like 2 mins.. once i got off the throttle the car started shaking, but it was still in gear.. once i go to the offramp and pulled it out of gear the tach took a dump and i could rev it in any gear but not go anywhere. pulled over, shut it off, and called a tow. tried to start it up, nothing. its my clutch right?

When you say you tried to start it up but nothing you mean it still starts correct? It just won't go anywhere? If its running and just not moving regardless of the gear its in then yes its probably your clutch. Who installed the clutch and flywheel for you? Reason I ask is its really early to have it wear out already. Unless the disc had more miles on it then you were told.

oops..
and yes i heel-toe a lot, and knew how to before i got the clutch installed. I can think of two times where i launched or shift and i thought it was bad for the tranny other than that i pretty much slip it. hell i dont even race that often. anyway, another thing i fogot to mention is that about 5-7k miles ago the clutch grabs A LOT higher. When the clutch was new you had to press the damn thin through the floor to even start it. think it was a faulty install? Some place called Rice Automotive installed it in maine where my mom lives, i live in NJ. this was like half a year ago.

If the car won't start its not the clutch. Somebody I know mix and matched clutch parts on his RX7 before and the starter motor was more then strong enough to still spin the flywheel. Hell it had enough strength to it that where it was binding up it snapped all of the pressure place bolts off of the flywheel.
So what exactly was smoking the motor or the transmission? Have you checked the fluid in either of the two? See if there are metal particles in the fluid or attached to the drain plug. Does any of the fluid smell think its burnt?
Can you still move the slave cylinder (does the clutch hold pressure and have movement)?
If you can remove the starter and take a look into the bell housing take a look in there and see if you can see any damage to the flywheel. That might require somebody to turn the crank by using a breaker bar on the crank pulley nut.
