When I get a chance, I'm gonna contact the dealer regarding the part numbers used on my car.
No, they are different than the ones you posted. The parts I got match the TSB scan, except my clutch disc is 30100AA851 and the TSB shows 30100AA850.... hope it is ok. They also gave me the flywheel, which matched part numbers.

You may have a different clutch. Or just take it to a US dealer.

Well, I took my subi into the dealer, armed with this complete thread printed out, a copy of the TSB and discussed it with the service manager. He stated that the parts are on national back order????? WTF? Does anybody know if this is true and if so, when will they be available?

I got mine done on Wednesday, May 28- but the dealer had them in stock. More importantly, did he order them for you?

Backorder sounds about right. My dealer has everything in except the flywheel. Too much more waiting and I'll be dropping off a exedy or cobb light flywheel for them to install

Yes, he did order them but the way he stated "national back order" sounded like /dev/null to me.

If he ordered them, you'll get them. Don't sweat it.

I just got my 2002 wrx back today (37500 miles) with the free clutch and flywheel. i have been reporting the problem every oil chance since i have owned the car (19000mi). i was considering selling if the dealer and subaru were both goint to keep playing games with me but all seems to be well now. I had the shudder randomly a couple times per week when the car was cold. shifts much smoother into first and second gear. when downshifting to accelerate hard it still has a bit of a clunk, but not quite as harsh as before-maybe poor driving style, i just can't downshift very smooth in this car. just shifting the same way i did smoothly in my vw and acura. still feels like you really have to slip it more than necessary when agressively downshifting.

Just dropped mine off today. Got a hyndai (not sure the cars worth me trying to figure out how to spell it) loaner. Man was that a change to go from. Definately not as good in the rain.

Anyone know how long this normally takes?

Just dropped off the death trap (loaner hyundia eltantra).

Got the WRX back, much better. No warranty hassles from Bel Air Subaru in MD at all. I didn't even buy it there.

Here's an update on mine.

Replaced first clutch with parts other than those listed on TSB @ 15000 miles for clutch shudder. Now @ 22,000 miles it needs to be done again. This time I am making sure they put the right parts, per TSB on. I am also going to make sure that they put on the throw out bearing that doesn't make the deceleration noise. Anyone know what the TSB number for that one is??
