EJ20 swap + RS tranny, which clutch to use??

Uh, no... no clutch will "blow your tranny" unless its driven poorly. I also haven't seen or heard any real evidence that ACT's clutches are poor quality; they're one of the leading brands out there.

I've also been considering a SPEC Stage 1, which... for the RS tranny is supposed to hold 302lbs tq. More than enough for a stock EJ20

hahaha yes actually the ACT clutches have been known to "blow" 2nd gear on RS trannies. driven properly or improperly, mostly is because of poor install but more cases have been that ACT clutches blow some gear than Exedy ones do.
