swap meaning removal of original 5 speed transmission only (no other part of the driveline) and then installation of another 5mt transmission in its place.

I recommend GB Motorsports/MPJ performance - they have done good work for me.

Gruppe-S http://www.gruppe-s.com/

There located in Hayward which is not bad for anyone in the Yea Area

Youll have the best hands on your tranny and get the best price for Parts and Labor hands down. Whatever you need done to your car i would recommend them.

Cheers,

Stephen

Another vote for GB Motorsports/MPJ performance they did my 6 speed and sti rear end swap at a very good price. Or you could check out Gruppe S, you cant go wrong with either shop.

Did you call Kevin @ AHQ? Here is the number: (650)368-3290. If you call them, tell James or Kevin that I refered, so they can get you a hookup. BTW he was the top tech used to work @ Carlsen.

Wait is this an official quote or your guestimate? That's a pretty good price.

diz,

if your not too bent on loosing some fule economy, i would recommend maby an upgrade in tranny's bro. Thought about a custom RA gear set? Check it out, its a great setup, 1-4 jdm RA Gears, but they leave you your stock USDM 5th so you can still save fule on the freeway Great for low end tq driving
