I've decided that I want to go with an Exedy clutch but I don't know which model I need to use? Maybe this one here (top of the list) http://www.clutchcityonline.com/suba...ng_impreza.htm
This is what I've found out so far about RS clutches being used with the EJ20 (correct me if I'm wrong)
Stock OEM clutch: will shudder guranteed
Exedy OEM style: will shudder guranteed
Exedy Stage 1: ????
ACT Stage 1: will hold the power of the EJ20 and not shutter, but has a stiff pressure plate thus a very stiff clutch pedal.... and that I don't want.

Not sure about shudder, but you NEED to use an RS clutch and RS flywheel. The WRX parts don't work with the N/A tranny...
...you probably already knew that, but I'm just throwing it out there

Exedy "OEM style" is OEM. That's who makes them for Subaru. Anyways, you need an RS clutch and flywheel. I have the Exedy flywheel and upgraded organic disc on my RS. Good stuff. Break it in properly and it shouldn't give you much shudder. Pretty much any stornger clutch package will give you some shudder on occasion though.

See thats strange because I am researching the same thing for my future RS/RX conversion. I was browsing at subaruparts.com. And came across the ACT kit. I looked at the kit for both RS and WRX and they have the same part #s. Is this to say that they are the same part???

the tranny housings themselves are the same right? so in theory couldnt you use a wrx fly and clutch and just change the mechanism to pull type? i thought it was just a matter of swapping in a different arm and mechanism? i could be wrong though

id say go exedy stage 1. its what i have in my RS as of now with an exedy light weight flywheel.
The ACT will blow ur tranny and they are made pretty poorly and they are about to raise the price on them soon anyway.
go exedy. they already make the OEM subaru clutches so u no its quality.
