you can see where the argument falls through right? Here's how the cost breaks down roughly:
GTR - 70k
STi- 35k
L - 15k
cbr600 - 7k
Yeah, you have to pick what you want. They were considering badging the new GTR as an infiniti. That means, even though it'll have a nissan badge, it'll have an infiniti interior I imagine. I'll pass my judgement when I sit in one though.
I guess what I'm saying is, you're paying 70k for an out-of-the-box 500 hp AWD beast. With the subie you have to be a DIY-er. I'm definitely way biased towards the subies, but there are people who enjoy having a factory warranty if you know what I mean. And working on nissans sucks.

haha! this sums it up perfectly, you always find someone saying my XXX will do XXX better than car XXX for XXX less money. Okay thats nice, I guess we would all ride around in 125cc shifter carts if all we cared about was maximum performance for the least possible $$$. Its all relative, say the the GT-R comes out with 450 AWD hp for 70K, yeah you can get that out of a STI for about half the price, but isnt the GT-Rs price almost half of a Porsche turbo 997s AWD 450+ hp for almost half of its price too? Fron that perspective its now a bargain too. Like I said its all relative

I thought they were selling them. Or at least they had an importer for the newer ones.

Ah, they might have an importer akin to "motorex" up there, but I don't know about it. I do know lots of guys are importing these great early 90's JDM cars though. You can get a pulsar gti-r for pretty cheap now. Also, of course, you can get the R32.

anyone want to cruise down to LA next month??
Though the super car is expected to make its world debut on its home court at the Tokyo motor show in October 2007, AutoWeek has learned Nissan will show a near-production version of the GT-R at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Enjoy!
btw whoever said they wanted to compare it to the Porsche 911 turbo for half the price, check out whose tailing the GT-R in the vid around the Ring.

2009?? I thought we were supposed to be flying DeLoreans powered by beer and coffee grounds by then.
Hmm. Oh well. The video was sorta cool. The Porsche looked hot.

Or you can do like some tards do and put skyline badges on your G35 coupes as well as the GT-R symbol. I found out that some dealers actually sold the G35's with those badges on them and i shook my head in shame.
This is going to be one insane car.
