heres why i posted that it looks more 350z than skyline.... and of couse it looks like the g35, its the g35 on steroids thats supposed to cost close to $70,000 is what rumor has it.

please tell me that it looks more skyline than z.... especially the side profile. it looks closest to the g35, then the z, then the skyline.... the only thing skyline is the tail lights. i would take the older skylines over this one anyday if it where just based on appearance.

dude, then you should ay it kinda looks like the Ford GT it's really that the stylings of the newer cars are looking that way. but the front and rear of the car look nothing like it. it's still a very sexy looking car and much more "mean" looking than a Z. just the way the older Skyline looks.

hahah
I never said it wouldn't be a VQ. I said that it wouldn't be just an another g35 motor. Whether it will be an iron-block(which I doubt), forged piston and connecting rods, higher flowing head, heavy duty oil and water pump, or new cams and coolant lines; all those make it different from the current outgoing VQ motor.

it is meaner looking, and i did like the original pics that came out- what you can see thats covered by the bra in these pics. the front and rear look sick, but the pics with the bra dont make it appeal to me at all. but yea it is the style of the newer cars, i like the older models of the late 90s for most imports, but its just cuz the newer ones havent grown on me yet. i used to hate zs now i think they are pretty sick, so we will see what happens the first time i see a skyline on the street

yeah I followed up on my reply a couple post later. Yeah compared to the R34, the new Skyline has more of the shape of the 350Z, which is understanable since its based off the G35 coupe/Skyline, but its kind of like saying an aple looks mor elike an orange than a bananan, but without taking the R34 into account, if you saw the new GT-R and didnt know what it was or know it was made by nissan I dont think anyone would say it looked anything like a 350Z.

That looks nice. But why is that going to be so expensive? 70,000 is a little too high.. 45,000 - 50,000 price range would be more realistict for a car that would share so much parts from lower models (350z and G35)..

apples, oranges, bananas- theyre all good, i know what you mean. in my first post i was going to put that it was almost identical to the g35, but i didn't... dont know why.

i heard that they will cost $70000 a while ago on a forum about the new skyline, i hope its not accurate cuz it will be priced up with the nsx and it doesnt look like $70000 worth of exotic vehicle. it should be in the $40-$60,000 range otherwise they wont sell many. whats the new supra supposed to be priced at?

I wish my wife would let me spend $70K on a car....damn bay area mortgage

We had a G35 TT pull up at one of our Saturday meets in Monterey and he was putting 535 whp pump gas and 600ish whp with race gas. Sick a$$ car.

The reason its gonna cost $70,000 is because each one of those guys driving/standing around the concept is getting paid $50 an hour in a dream job, when nissan could just sell the old GTR34 from japan BUT IN THE USA!!! all they would have to do is keep the assembly line going and keep paying the workers $10/hr to build them.

I dont see why they have to remake everything.

Just like Jeep still makes the classic boxy style cherokee and it sells.
