Fastest car (stock)
What is the fastest stock car here.
1) Evoloution
2) Z06 Corvette
3) STIwrx
4) Mazda Speed
5) E55-AMG Mercedez
And, which car would be able to be upgraded the most? (ex, after upgrading all of them , which would most likely be fastest)
Thanks!

All out modification....a Z06. You can build up a 427 C5R Racing engine with twin turbos pumping out over 700hp, if not more. Here is a taste.

But, I firmly believe, the best all around performance car is the STi. Its the all-weather supercar.

The Z06 is the hands-down winner stock or modified.
The STi, Evo, and Mazda Speed (I'm assuming you mean Miata? Maybe Protege?) would cost alot more to get anywhere near the power you could get out of a modified small or big block V8 with forced induction. The E55 would be my runner-up, but it's too luxury-oriented to be as graceful and potent as the Chevy.

Unfortunetly the z06 is the best stock performer.......the best being modded probably it would be the z06 once again, but I would rather have an STi that is just as fast and have the piece of mind it's not going to fall apart or break as easily due to the better quality car than a z06 or any american muscle car. I like Japanese Reliability.

The Corvette is probably the highest quality car built from a U.S. manufacturer. I really hate when people assume one car is reliable and one isn't simply because it's built inside another country (which often isn't true since Subaru, Toyota, Nissan and Honda all manufacture cars inside the U.S.)
I've seen some real craptastic cars come from across the Pacific, but on the same token I remember alot of our own nausia-iducing cars (j-bodies.. last-gen Caprice's and newer Chryslers for example.. *shudder*). The point is, don't judge a car from it's country of origin. Alot of quality cars (like I said, the Corvette being one of them as far as build quality and reliability) come from the United States, Japan, Europe and elsewhere. On the same token, we've all had our fair share of crap.

Yes American cars have come a long way from where they were, but it's a fact of life that Japanese cars are more reliable cars.
have you ever owned a z06? how would you know? by reading consumer reports?

No I have no owned a z06, but I know easily by looking at repair records, frequency of repairs. I know because it's a fact that American Cars are still not as reliable as other cars. Plain and simple. American cars have come a long way since as I said....but still they have not caught up to Japanese Reliabilty. It the facts bro.

Go to press releases
Good number of American cars in the top ten. American cars are right on par with the best of the Japanese and Germans. They have to be....its a competitive world.

look under nameplates. I see a lot of American companies above average. In fact, Chevy beats Subaru FWIW

The fact still remains that sports cars arn't built for reliability, plain and simple. If you want a car you'll never have to work on, buy a Civic. If you want something fun that you'll probably have to get your hands dirty with, buy a sports car. STi's, Evo's, Supras, NSX's and so forth all need regular repairs due to the limits at which they perform. On the same token, 'Vettes, Vipers, F-Bodies (especially), etc also need thier share of repairs over the course of thier lifespan.
Also, I'd love to see these repair records and how you know the frequency of repairs on the average Z06, compared to the average Japanese car (which the STi and Evo are not).
If we're going to play this game, let us also remember that American cars are alot cheaper by comparison to repair than imported vehicles.
I'm also wondering why the original question was asked.. are you planning on buying one of them?
