WTF? Freeway + 45mph + not slow lane = moron

WTF is up with people? I know gas is high but I'm seeing more and more people driving 45-50mph (speed limit 65) on the freeway and NOT in the slow lane (bad enough if they were). This causes a sudden jam as people need to switch out from behind them to avoid the clog.

Doing 45 mph on the freeway is illegal, 55 is reasonable, but 45 is a safety hazard.

but you wont see the CHP pull them over and ticket them because the AARP would throw a fit. Trust me if I were a CHP, I would be pulling them over more than speeders.

****ing retarded... they really aren't saving any gas at 45... I have found that the best fuel economy is somewhere around 70 after about 85 it just goes down the ****ter...

Sometimes when in my Justy I cruise along at 55 or 60mph but always in the slow lane. This car gets around 10mpg better at that speed than 70 or so, and it was built in the time of 55mph speed limits - the gearing reflects this. At 70mph it's turning over 4krpm. If someone in their Hummer is pissed off enough to tip over their Mocha and have to put their phone call on hold to pass me, I am cool with that. Couldn't imagine rocking my mobile chicane in the fast lane though...

Save the slow driving for the right most lane whenever possible. It's what I do, and I don't mind being passed by nearly everyone.
