Mustangs are cheap because it is a FORD. They rushed the process of the "pony car" and Chevy perfected it with the Camaro.

this is a really stupid question,

i was looking at different 69-71 models and why are mustangs so cheap compared to camaro and chevells (wrong spelling).

I was not raised in USA hence do not know the reason.

basically cars are generally sought after for certain years and models.

For the camaro it's the 68-69 and for some folks on into the early 70's. for mustangs it's 64.5/65. anything that is not that car has to be a fastback. the 68 fastback for example is a hot car and sells for higher amounts. i've seen bone stock ones in good condition...not restored go for around $20k.

basically it depends on year and model of car which is gonna be hotter...more collectable.

+1 for Creative Kustoms....however, if I'm not mistaken, George is not taking anymore "resto" jobs at the moment....he has atleast 4 or 5 that he's working on right now and wants to get those finished before taking on anymore jobs of the sort. You can give him a call, but I would expect him to tell you that it'll have to wait till his other projects are done. And for the record....George does PHENOMINAL work! I will never take a car anywhere else for body work/paint after working with George.

ted's right but it's worth a shot. George just turned out a couple cars but he's got like 5 in the shop and one MAJOR job outside the shop right now. Got a truck that's getting about $150k in work that will be the next major deal. I'm hoping to go down soon and help him knock out some of the stuff he's got around the shop so they'll be some room for my caddy..haaaa.

He ted...how'd the truck turn out. I took a peak while it was in the booth.

Lol, not quite. Im hoping to put bout 550hp and 600tq to the ground with it.
That car is totally done up though. Almost every last nut and bolt replaced.

Front and back has a transverse monoleaf fiberglass spring attached to new offset trailing arms (to fit the big wheels) in the back and all new controll arms in the front. Fully adjustable for both ride height and stiffness.

The motor is a zz502 crate from GM with a little meaner cam, a little head work, and an accel SuperRam on top. Direct EFI.

Wheels are custom sized Boyd Coddington Junk Yard Dogs with 17x8 front and 18x10 rear.

All new rear gears, new Tremec TKO-600 tranny.

Like i said, everything is DONE on this car. Cant wait to show pics of the interior once its done.

I would think an all motor properly built up 502 would be good for over 600horse minimum.

1000 tuff guy horses (750whp) not out of the question.

That thing looks mean as hell.

but hey....550whp is over 800 tuff guy ponies and that's what I was getting at..haaa. sweet *** car.

I speak from experence... more than 500WHP is pretty useless, you can't put it to the ground.
My CP car has only ~500FWHP and has traction problems going into 4th gear under WOT at freeway speeds (on 265/45WR16 Kumho 710's!)
I've built a ton of badass cars, professionally for awhile; there are few things more fun than a big american car with a ton of power.

15x12 junker rims with some nice MT slicks should be enough to break my halfshafts.
