Chevyland used to be in Rancho Cordova, just east of Sacramento, but I haven't checked them out in years. They specialize in parts ordering and restorations.
If you are mechanically inclined, repro parts are available. Both eBay and Craigslist can net you stuff like carpets and used consoles. Aftermarket suspension pieces are available for this car so you can replace those tired ball joints and bushings and control arms with stuff that's better than stock, if you want.
Check out Hot August Nights in Reno. Lots of vendors offering parts and services for cars like vintage Camaros. My friend might be selling his '67 Stingray or one of his other cars with numbers-matching drivetrain (he's got a '69 Camaro SS 396 convertible with factory a/c) at the Hot August Nights auction this year.

Its expensive man. Be ready to drop a ton of money into it. Depending on what your doing to it your looking at dropping at least 20k for a BASIC restore.
I bought my 75 corvette for 2k. I already put 25-30k in parts into it, and im doing all the work. Its at the paint shop now, theres 10k, new interior, nother 5k.
If you have osmeone else doing it be ready to spend twice that. (if you need a new motor, suspension, ect - basically a full resto.)
Dont expect to be able to do it cheaply.
going off to paint -

garage (on a very messy day)

There are several shop in the bay area who can do a restoration or resto-mod on a 69 Camaro
My reccomendations in order of preference
1) Dyno West ( http://www.dynowest.com/ )
This is a one man shop, but that one man is Paul Casalaes, a virtual legend in the Pro-Touring scene. There is nothing he dosen't do except paint. If you want it perfect, he's your guy
2) Speed Merchant ( www.speedmerchant.com )
This shop has existed in San Jose in one form or another since the mid-1950's. Paul Casalaes used to run it, so there are a lot of guys there who have his philosophies. They have more man-power than Dynowest, so things tend to get done quicker
3) Campbell Auto Restoration
This is a super-hi-end shop, they do top notch work, but expect to be waiting for months before they can start on your car.

decent car to be "stuck" with.
Basically...unless you plan on doing MOST of the work yourself it's a bad thing to get into for money. Even if you get a crate motor and do the interior yourself you won't make much money off of it. If you can do the body work and paint it yourself then yeah then. Otherwise it will turn into a HUGE money pit. Gotta do it cause you love it.
I have a 53 caddy that I'm working on right now. even with my buddies and I doing ALL the body work, paint and motor....oh and the air bags I'll probably have $10k into it when I'm "done".
I could turn it for maybe $15k tops after that. Very little profit and when you count time and energy I'll loose out big time. If I sell it, it will be to get something else to build.
Creative Kustoms does rebuilds as well. Talk to George. tell him Ray from i-club sent you.

+1 for Creative Kustoms....however, if I'm not mistaken, George is not taking anymore "resto" jobs at the moment....he has atleast 4 or 5 that he's working on right now and wants to get those finished before taking on anymore jobs of the sort. You can give him a call, but I would expect him to tell you that it'll have to wait till his other projects are done. And for the record....George does PHENOMINAL work! I will never take a car anywhere else for body work/paint after working with George.

Nice i will definately call these guys once i get the car (in next 2 weeks).
this is a really stupid question,
i was looking at different 69-71 models and why are mustangs so cheap compared to camaro and chevells (wrong spelling).
I was not raised in USA hence do not know the reason.

Another good guy to talk to is Steve Pardini (sp?) of Steve's Camaro in San Bruno. He does not restore but just sells parts. He knows everybody though.
