How do I restore my carbon Fiber?

My carbon Fiber Hood Scoop is blotchy. It has a white glaze to it and looks like sh**. Any suggestions on how to get it shiny and smooth again?

I'm not sure how you can fix it on your own but I know if you take it to a body shop they can wetsand it and re-clearcoat it and it's as good as new again.

here's the before shots with the hood off the car. you can see that the hood didn't even shine before.

overall i'm pretty happy with how it turned out. i was either about to sell it or have Leo (Stupid Dent) come up all the way from San Jose and try to restore it but after spending about $17 I think it was well worth it and good money saved.

i have a CF trunk that needs reclearing. Does anyone know where i can get that done at for cheap? Most places are quoting me like 250! which i think is pretty crazy just for a new coat of clear.

Not at all... I see it as just like detailing... Some prefer to pay others to do it; some prefer to do it themselves (like me ). If anything, you proved that the multi-steps system I had in mind works. In your case, the first step was good enough (unfortunately doesn't seem to be the case for Wrx2fast4ufool)! Plus, I didn’t even know how much to charge you but no way I would charge over a $100 for it.
