cuz the thread title is a great reminder!

It's like a PSA that only Paul could deliver.

But seriously, please be careful out there with this first significant rain of the season.

Built Up Oil + 1st Rain = SUPER SLICK

When rain first hits it's always inevitable that out of all the drivers on the road someone will do something dumb and wreck it up. I started hearing sirens @ 6:30am.

I feel like that needs to be said for 90+% of the drivers but it's also super fun slow speed shenanigans if you know where your local slick spots are . Old 2WD pickup trucks FTW?

We did the Hot Chocolate run in GG Park on Sun. DAMN was it windy. I had my Subaru Poncho on lol! That thing came in handy.

Saw some DOUCHE nozzle BMW (redundant) driver on a flip phone (uh, wut?) driving like a total asshat in traffic on 101 while on our way home.

I got one better...Someone got on 101 North the wrong way and was flying down the left lane at what must have been triple digit speeds...I was lucky to be in right lane on cruise. This was 03:00 Friday night/Saturday morning...

I was like Called 911 almost immediately. Their reply was "yeah, so, not much we can do". Useless.

This morning, BMW again. Rain just started coming down harder and dude pulls out from driveway to make left turn right in front of me. Can't be bothered to look both ways because BMW.

Douchiness was abound last night along the MacArthur Maze. CHP was running a traffic break to slow folks down cuz it turns out that Caltrans had closed the fast lane of WB-580 just before the split with I-80 to clear debris and ponding water.

Like another driver, I put my hazards on as add'l warning. Naturally, that didn't deter several asshats from coming in hot. Just stupid! Grrrrr... Luckily, I didn't witness much more after I continued onto EB-80.

Folks like that make it tough to remain cool like Fonzie. Right, Yolanda?!

Last week's storm was ****ing nuts. I take 101 to work and that terrible washboard surface and the pouring rain made for some crazy low visibility. Fresh coat of Rain-x and some pretty good rain tires made me feel safe and secure on the road, but it's the other drivers I gotta worry about.
