Music definitely needs to be going on the WHOLE time and some games would be cool. Maybe there could be a "spot the mods" contest or something?
CN: Stay at Mt. Hammy. More interactive events. Music.
^+1 I agree.

Hammy is a first and foremost a car meet, with bbqing, vendors, and events. It's for the whole family. It's not a trackday, auto-x, or anything like that. This is Hammy. Not BAIC Auto-X lol. Two separate things.

A BAIC trackday would be sick, but not as the Hammy Meet.

Discovery Bay is the only body of water within half an hour of Altamont Raceway park.

Its over an hour to SF or SJ; 1:10 to Vallejo, 1:20 to San Rafael, 1:40 to Santa Cruz, but not 20 minutes from any bay that I'd refer to as "the bay"
Ok well when i went to the rallyX i remember it was like 20 or 30 min from 680...and i guess 680 is pretty inland...but again people from the north bay its closer than mt Hamilton. Which is where many other subies are, not to mention it involves having fun driving your car rather than staring at them in a parking lot.

Track days are hours away, nobody complains about them.

Dude i just GAVE AN EXAMPLE of a place in SoCal that rents out a track for $500 for you to do whatever the hell you want.

WHICH can POSSIBLY RELATE to ALTAMONT! 1+1=2? maybe? ...or no?

I cannot post in a thread without you trying to knock me down in some way it seems.

nobody else was complaining about a link sending them to the desert.
You sent us to a parking lot in some algae pond by BART, at least my link was fun to look at, and would be a better spot (Altamont! not the desert spot!) to spend $1000 some odd dollars for more than just a BBQ and an overhang.

I know there's more to it than that, and this is way over my head, but im saying this now, rather than before because im not a jerk. but there it is, enjoy.

Please excuse me for trying to make this a DRIVING SAFELY ON CLOSED COURSE MEET...i forgot that most people here would rather look at their cars and boost them for straight lines. sorry

yeah, well the whole driving thing was someone elses idea that i thought i could add to.

I-club and being a Subaru owner is all about DRIVING! im sorry but look at yourself in the mirror! youre NOT A SCION OWNER! you dont own your car for looks and plastic accesories that are overpriced kragen pieces! you drive it!
Dont fall for another parking lot meet! I am realizing that this calls for a whole new meet, one that involves people AND their cars. whos with me?!? [/failedbattlecry?]

And I, along with 1/2 of potential i-clubbers probably wont attend if its just a BBQ thats more than an hour away. Jourdans Downhill tricycle/girly bike idea is very appealing tho, i might have to take part in that.

Hey man... I almost got a Scion... I understand where you are coming from though... unfortunately the only racing I'll be doing for a while won't include a full sized car.

And I'll be sure to set up an ambitious track for the trikes...
