What would it take to get ANY of you to enter a Rally?

I can't really speak to the legality of sliding a bit around the corners, but there is a focus on safe driving. The more experienced you are, though, the more you can slide a little while still keeping a safety margin. Mind you, these are minor bits of drifting compared to what you'll see in performance rally, but fun nonetheless.
Oh, and drifting on gravel is completely different from doing it on asphalt - much lower speeds before you break loose.

Anyone want the REAL SCOOP on what a rally is? The link is right there.
Want to see how popular it is in SoCal?
Go to the SoCal forum in Nabisco, and search for "ITN Rally"
I'd LOVE to help Pete put together a PanAm style rally event. You guys would be promised ALL PAVED ROADS, back roads, twisties, and mazes to keep you entertained and occupied for HOURS.
You guys have never tried a rally? These short, paved road events will be something to start off with, and then move on up to play in the PanAm rallies.
BTW, the NorCal rally teams have been called out by the ITN rally teams in SoCal, and we've been looking to accept the challenge, but we don't have enough trained rally teams. They'd host an event, we'd write and host another event, and hopefully there'd be a third and final event written in Central California. If we can garner enough interest, we could start writing our event, and take on those SoCal guys at their own game...

Well so far it sounds like I'll be getting more Miata's out than subarus, as SAMOA's promised that their club will be supporting the series next year.
