Funny thing is, they gave up a valuable and TRADE-ABLE expiring contract that's worth $5 million just to sign a D-leaguer. So instead of waiving a $100k contract in Chris Hunter, who they never play anyways, they waive a $5 million contract without seeing what they would get before the trade deadline.

Let the tanking continue for the John Wall sweepstakes.

Despite Anthony Morrow getting stiffed at the 3 pt shooting contest this year at the All-Star weekend, Stephen Curry says he's willing to give up his spot so that Morrow can participate in the contest. We'll see if nba officials approve it though.

Brandon Roy will not participate in the All-Star game due to injuries. This could be Monta Ellis' last chance to get into the All-Star game. David Stern has the final say in who is selected as an alternate.

Damn Curry said that?! Haha what a nice guy. Morrow was on fire tonight.

Monta's injured his knee with 3min left in the 4th. Even if a spot is open, I'm not sure if Monta will play in it because of the knee.

Kobe will not play in the All-Star game due to injury. His replacement?

Yea, the timing of Monta's sprained knee came at such a bad time. We almost had our first all-star in a decade and a half. I still think Stern would have chosen Kidd or Aaron Brooks instead regardless though. Aaron Brooks and Carlos Boozer (even though I hate him) got snubbed this season. However, David Stern doesn't like the Warriors.

David Stern doesn't like the warriors? You mean the basketball gods hate the warriors. Holy **** just look at this season! Thank god (c what i did thar?) they sent us Curry. He's our only hope.

Some people say he's trying to get Cohan to sell the team. But since Cohan is holding out, and basketball revenue is nowhere where it should be in the Bay Area, Stern doesn't want to give Cohan and his lackeys any more "good press". Hence all the other choices before Ellis.

Is this true, or just speculation? It does make sense. But at the same time its obvious that Cohan is trying to sell the franchise. Putting Monta in the All-Stars would bring Ellis & GSW some spotlight. With all the trade rumors, putting Monta in would benefit Cohan.

Ugh, Warriors are just full of disappointment. The only good things Warriors have going for them is...

Obviously nobody outside of Stern and Cohan management knows whether it's true or not, but what is true is that Stern is very disappointed in how Cohan is running things with the Warriors. The market is huge in the Bay Area, yet ticket sales are lackluster, and the only way Oracle arena is getting filled nowadays is with steep discounts ($20 tickets).

Putting Monta in the ASG would only benefit Cohan and his PR team (how many times in the past 16 years were we promised a good year with a bunch of young players in a rebuilding phase, but only resulted in EXCUSES that there were too many injuries, the same shtick we've been given year after year?) and Stern doesn't want to do that.

Cohan wants to sell the team, but he's asking WAY too much. He believes the franchise as it stands is worth $400 million. He was offered $350 million several years ago, but declined. Oracle CEO Larry Ellison offered $310 million a couple months ago, but Cohan refused. There aren't any other buyers who will go over $300 million, other than Ellison at this moment.

Since Cohan is in financial trouble (he owes the IRS a lot of money), Ellison's going to wait him out until he's really forced to sell at a price near Ellison's offer. But Cohan is a stubborn guy and won't sell lower than $400 million, and yet at the same time, has no clue how to run a successful basketball franchise.

As much as I'd hate it and how obnoxious it would be. I'd rather have an owner who practically runs his team as if it were his own NBA fantasy basketball squad like this guy....

At least this guy has an ounce of passion for his product. Good lord, they Mavs are adding a more durable Caron Butler in place of Josh Howard now.
