I like Munoz alot.. Such a good respectful guy. I just like Sonnen vs silva more. The history they have makes for a good fight! But glad Dana gave munoz his opportunity at a crack at the belt too.. Munoz is a great grappler.. Ca state champ in HS.. and Sonnen almost made it to the Olympics.. Should be a good fight but like you said I think Sonnen will overwhelm Munoz.

His only weapon will be to out wrestle him.
I think Munoz wins. He'll have a shot against Silva but I don't think as good of one as Chael does.

He's kind of an unorthodox guy as it is. If you noticed, he landed... a lot, in that first round. He used the unorthodox technique I think because he has to. His hand speed has always been crap. Kinda like Leban with much less power.
I think it was mostly just gas. When he came out he was JUICED. I was sitting there with my brother going... dude chill out, you're gonna gas before you even get in the ring. I think it was a bad combo of too much emotion, adrenaline dump and ring rust. Been a year since he fought.
I hope this wakes him up because I do see Dana giving him at least one more shot... for the fans.
He needs to focus on cardio. His wrestling, GP, BJJ are solid but with no cardio he's useless.
I did really like the way he handled it. He basically said... dude I'm gassed hit me with your best shot because you won't know me out... and MB couldn't. Says a lot about the chin and a lot about how much he tired out MB in the first round and MB's lack of power at this weight.
I'm a Mayhem fan but I knew he was toast after the first round before the fight started. His only chance to win was BJJ and when you're that tired you just can't do it.
I hope he gets himself with a new team and focuses on cardio for a few months or he'll be out of the UFC before anyone knows he's there.
