I asked him. lol. He had a E-tune on the car for 91 octane.

Believe he virtual dynoed it in mustang setting. I know GTX3071 which is bigger then a 20G only made 350whp on Ed's dyno when it used to read low since the fuel is always so unpredictable. 320 ish is believable lol.

I love the drivability of a VF series turbo but Im wondering what my options are if I wanted the keep the spool time similar and up the power. Im not a big fan of turbos that dont hit full boost till 5500+. I want my powerband early even if I have to sacrifice power.

Spool similar to a USDM VF series?

Mine put down 251 on Vishnu's dyno back in the day with a VF23, turboback, fuelpump. There's another 20-30 to be had with at least moving to 565 injectors. So if you think about it that way, you can get a 22 which pushes more air and reach near 300, then e85 tune if for more power.

Other option I say would be an 18G. Faster spooler than a 20G but pushes power still. AS you said, you would sacrifice power for faster spool.

I know it's an FP green. Don't know if its an old vs new FP green. I'm looking up how to identify the two.

do you know difference between 18g, 18gxt and 18gxtr in terms of spool and power?

They all produce about the same power, but the XTR will definitely spool the fastest since it is ball bearing instead of thrust bearing. Hence the R after the XT.

Or this 10cm turbine will gain you more top end power..maybe a bit less spool

I love BAIC bcs nasioc would've torn OP to shreds with the lack of info in dis thread.

Do you already have the EWG? On a stock turbo? Are you plumbing back to the exhaust or venting atmospherically?
Fuel Pump? Injectors? Accessport or Tactix/UEGO?
How much are looking to spend on the turbo? On everything else?

If you don't want to grenade the tranny, I would try to find a VF34/39/48 since they're cheap and sorta easy to find. On 91 with a 2.5, I think you'll be right around 300hp/300ftlbs, 320/350 on E85. Would probably spool like a tuned td04 on a 2.0 with the ewg.
