Your swap is doing lines & not cannibas huh? Guess it would be better to have a tweeked out engine rather than one that is smoking.

Swap the oem stuff in for the day. Why risk the time and money. I have a used 06 wrx system you can borrow.

 

The state ref has NOTHING to do with how loud it is!

As long as the cats are there, you are fine.

 

Thanks for the offer, but the ref actually could care less about aftermarket exhaust( save for straight pipe w/o resonators). He told me straight up that my 3" 5Zigen catback is kosher since my kitties are oem and intact.

And it's only $8.25; you pay that once you pass inspection and never before.

Problem was he had major reservations about the swap since it's drive by wire. Returning on Tuesday after proving my credibility over an email.

 

The limit is 95 db with a varience of 1.5db

 

since you are going to Las Positas, as long as your car doesn't sound extremely loud and you haven't modified any part of your exhaust with the 02 sensor, you will be fine.
