South Bay Subaru Service

Hi,
My Forester 2011 has 120K runs well but need major service.
I need to do timing belt replacement since it is overdue.
I assume I can do package service 105K or 120K.

I was wondering what Subaru service place you suggest in South Bay Area? And cost of it.
What is reasonable charge for Timing Belt replacement?

Thanks in advance.

Prices will vary and depends on what else might be needed. 105K service is the timing belt AFAIK, and I did the 120K at the same time since they fit together fairly well as to what needs to be done. AA Motorkworks in Mt. View did exactly that for my wagon recently and I was very pleased with the price and work. Timing belt alone is about $800-$1k and the 120K is a couple hundred too, so it won't be cheap.

There is also AHQ in Mt View, Mann Engineering in Santa Clara and RBMS Auto in Hayward.

+1 for AA Motorworks
+1 for AutoHQ

The others listed above are also legit but I have not had work done by them. I would not hesitate to visit any shop listed above.

Anyone know if any of the above recommendations (AutoHQ, Mann Engineering, AA Motorworks, RBMS) work on Subaru hybrids? Specifically looking to purchase the new plug-in Crosstrek, and researching options aside from dealerships.

Thanks,
Brian

I suppose it depends on what the issue is. All of them can handle normal mechanical stuff, but the hybrid system (which is a Toyota drive train) may be dealer only.

PM Autoworks if you're in the south bay.

Another vote for Adam. He is my designated mechanic for my wagon (and I drive from Tracy to Mtn. View to get work done).
