A buddy of mine who's a cop emailed me a list of where most of the major checkpoints in the Bay Area will be tonight. They will be operational from 10pm to about 2am. So be careful out there. Don't drink and drive.

Also, I wouldnt go to Berkely at all. I was told that the Chief of Police is giving out 20 dollar gift cards for every DUI that you get. So there are going to be alot of cops out there finding DUI, some for probably BS reasons. Be careful out there

I think that is great, whatever it takes to get cops to be more aware out there and keep the drunks off the road. Makes it safer for everyone else.

 

i couldn't read all 9 pages of that. you can add another checkpoint, that I see every year, several times a year to that.

Right at the entrance to the tunnel out of Alameda? Wow, a lot of people have to go through there. And I hear those cops are especially bad.

Make sure you NEVER say anything that can be used to say that you are "impaired," including being sleepy or having even a little alcohol. They can nail you for that even if you are well under the legal limit.
