IIRC, the mustang cobras a few years back had similar problems. Owners were compensated in some form, I'm just not sure how. Also, wasn't Shiv the one that found the low hp figures for the Miata a few years back which also led to owner compensation?

Hyundai does it all the time They have always overstated their hp numbers by quite a lot. More so than average.

Mazda was forced to offer their customers a 100% refund on their cars over the supposedly higher horsepower numbers of the new generation engine. Hyundai also lost a class action suit over it. Point is, SOA would be making similar gestures if it were true. It is not. Period. Reflashing is a possibility, but not at the expense of 25 horsepower.

Uh, no... it isn't true.

You can't make a car that has 300hp go down to 275... soa would get so sued for that.

If they are actually watching these boards, the complete irony in tracking the dealerships we go to is that places like Santa Cruz gets punished by SOA... and rat hole dealerships that are completely out to screw anyone, with a modified car or not, go completely unchecked.

Kiss my ***, SOA Thank you for screwing enough people over that my hope for not having a warranty issue is more due to fear of your company and any regrets in my car purchase, rather than just the normal worry and inconvenience of having a problem with my car.

They aren't lowering the power to lower it. They are reflashing to compensate for 91oct... Which they didn't before, i just see this as any old recall, like MAF for 99, and 02 sensor for 00/01

Let them just send STi owners letters about the reflash, and just have it done...

what's the difference between running a 13.1 or 13.4???

I mean why in the world would they get sued? They are doing what they need to to fix the problem. At least they are going to fix it.

I dunno, i don't see it as a huge deal...
