I know what you wrote. I was making a general statement becuase the statement I made can be applied to anyone driving at that speed.
and can you seriously say that 100% are racist?
oh, it looks like you can....
try being a little less ignorant. sure there are some bad apples out there, like every profession, but with the screening and background processes departments have in place these days, its much harder to find a racist cop, especially a young one.

There is no real way to get out of a ticket that will work reliably. You may catch an officer in a good mood, but if the guy is posted there for the day to catch speeders, he's going to give you a ticket if you're George freaking Clooney.
I got out of a ticket once, because he stopped me when I was obviously speeding, but was on his way somewhere else. He stopped by my window (motorcycle) looked at my papers then said I was lucky he was on his way somewhere so gave me a warning. I think that was about 50 in a 35. My other tickets were not so fortunate.
They were all posted officers looking for speeders at that time and place. One was for 55 in a 55 driving a minivan. Just that it was considered 35 because there were "snow berms" on the side of the road (nevermind the fact that it hadn't snowed in three weeks and the snow berms were like a foot and a half.
That one pissed me off, because it was right after an uphill section with a passing lane. I had purposefully been driving the speed limit (or what I thought was the speed limit) and let 2 people pass me in the passing lane. The radar truck was right at the top of the hill after the passing lane went away. I got the ticket, not them, even though they were going faster than me, because I was the easy one for the "ticket" officer to pull out behind.
There was a rather obvious place to pull over, and they had 2 other cars there citing people who had been pulled over earlier. One officer left and then came back with a new victim while my officer was writing my ticket. It was ticket day up the mountain in that town. The whole force in the area was dedicated to it. No way anyone is talking their way out of one of those tickets.
I just drive 70 now. It's not worth it. Low stress highway driving beats getting somewhere a minute or two faster.

Sorry in advance for the long post.
All of the officers I've ran into were all nice. I have yet to meet a mean officer. This excludes the raid at the Friday night Coleman Wingstop meet 2 years ago (I didn't meet those officers so I can't discuss my experience with them-this is a different discussion).
There was this one time a police officer pulled me over for modified exhaust RIGHT in front of my house. I mean even though I was giving him a little bit of attitude because I was mad he pulled me over right in front of my house and this was at 4 in the morning and he could have pulled me over on the outside street but didn't.. well yeah i was pissed.. anyway, he was still nice to me, even though I wasn't as nice as I could have been to him. What's my point? That shows how much character he has.. He wasn't mean to me because I feel he understood my frustration towards him. At the same time I can't fully be upset with him because yes I have a modified exhaust. I was just pissed he pulled me over in front of my house. He didn't give me a ticket, just a warning (if it makes any difference to you guys, he was a White male officer <-- NOT a racist/mean from the look of things). I did however get a ticket for modified exhaust from an Asian officer, who was nice but only doing his job (once again if it matters to any of you, he wasn't white).
In my opinion, if you break the law, just own up to it. I mean it's not fair to generalize all cops because not all of them are bad.. Yes there are some who cross the line, but there are others who are there because they are only doing their job. If their job is to catch those who are speeding, then of course it is their duty to make sure they do their job. It's like any profession.. you are there to make sure the job gets done and that is that. Sometimes the people you help or serve aren't going to be happy but that's life. You can't make everyone happy. You can try, but.. it's up to that person if they want to be happy.
In the end, yes there are bad cops but there are good cops too. Don't let a few bad cops blind your judgment. I find it funny how those of you who play the hate card on cops are being hypocritical.. A few cops do you wrong, so you despise majority of the cops. It's like saying a couple of Vietnamese guys were a-holes to me so they must all be a-holes. It doesn't work that way. If you believe that, then.. you really need to take a look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself how you would feel if someone said that about you. Without even giving you the chance to say a word to them and they already hate you. Think about it..
For those who speed and get upset when an officer gives you a ticket and does not compromise with you on the speed limit:
Have you ever thought maybe for example the reason why a cop gives you a ticket would be because, even though there aren't any cars around you and you may feel that you're not endangering the lives of others, that officer's main concern is your well-being? I bet not many people think about that. A lot of accidents which occur are because people lose control of their own cars. You can be the best driver out there but if a mishap was to occur, you're increasing your chances of getting hurt by driving at high speeds. It may be fun for you, but if I was an officer, that's how I would see things. I would be more concerned about your well being and the possibility of you hurting yourself and your passenger. It's way beyond just giving out tickets and compromising, it's your life. It's sad to see people dislike cops because they don't allow themselves to look at things from the other perspective. Those who say cops hate us are just being ignorant, because you guys say the same thing about them when you say you hate/dislike them.
My thing is, cops are just trying to make a living like the rest of us but they have a lot more on their plate than most of us do. They have to deal with going to work and having people who break the law hate them when they get caught and even before they speak to that person, that person already dislikes them. It's unfair to judge them differently just because they're police officers.
It's unfair to say that all cops are 100% racist or not racist or whatever you all are debating about.. in the end reality is that this world still consists of racism.. It's never going to 100% go away.. We can only do so much to help minimize it.. People are the ones who make decisions as to what they want to believe and no matter how much we try to convince them otherwise, they will continue to believe what they believe. The only person who can change their mind is themselves. It's starts with us, nobody else. If we don't like how things are then we need to do something about it, not complain about it and hope things will change by itself.
The way I see it is, even though there are some cops out there who go on power trips, it doesn't make me think that all cops are bad. Before when I was younger, I disliked cops a lot but once I grew up, I understood why they are the way they are. I learned that we shouldn't be judgmental and stereotype because then we are only being closed minded individuals. It's those who are closed-minded that continue to see the world as just black and white, whether they believe it or not because no matter how much you try to convince them, they will only be stubborn and believe what they want to believe. I do hope one day we will be able to rid the world of racism, but until then we can only be thankful that the world is better today than it was 15+ years ago..
Although we are unable to rid the world of racism today, we should still understand that things are much different than before. I'm not saying that everything is better, I'm just saying, at least some things are improving.. For me, I'm just glad that things aren't as bad as it was before even though I am still aware that racism does still exist.
Once again, this is my opinion, if you feel differently then I respect your opinion as well. I'm not a cop-lover/hater/whatever. Also, I do not speak on behalf of those cops who do go on power trips. This is just how I see things.
Thanks for reading.

Most of the interactions I've had with cops have been positive - even when I'm on the receiving end of a citation. Most have been really friendly, doing their job, cutting me a little slack because I'm courteous, do my best to make them feel at ease - and don't argue with them.
Yes, I've been stopped for 95 myself - in NV going up the 95 toward Vegas. The trooper was being a hard-*** about things, and even gave my wife a ticket for allowing me to drive - the funny thing was the paperwork had been done to allow me to drive, but still showed as suspended on the DMV computers. She was ticketed for allowing me to drive...
...which, when I mailed all the evidence to the court, was promptly dropped.
The letter I wrote to the judge told him that I WAS driving 95, have absolutely NO reason to do anything but take responsibility for it, but the paperwork proved I had a legal right to drive.
Fine went from $1,700 (total) to $300.

I got pulled over Friday night around 9:30pm coming over the Bay Bridge. I was going about 60 (50mph is the posted limit) and he tailed me a bit coming into SF, and flashed his lights as I exited Fremont St. Came up on the side of my car, made me roll down the both windows on the passenger side. The following exchange:
Officer: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Me: No.
Officer: I pulled you over for speeding, do you know how fast you were going?
Me: Not sure, maybe around 60?
Officer: Do you know the speed limit?
Me: I believe it's 55.
Officer: It's actually 50, license and registration please.
Me: (give him my license, insurance and registration)
(conversation regarding address on my license)
Officer: Where are you guys headed tonight?
Me: Birthday party.
Officer: I see, what time is that at?
Me: 8pm.
Officer: Sit tight, I'll be right back.
Officer goes back to his car. Radios in my info and writes some stuff down. At this point, I'm certain he's writing up my ticket. A few minutes later he returns:
Officer: Slow down, and make sure you update your new address with the DMV.
Me: Will do. Have a good night.
I must be the luckiest bastard to be let off on Friday the 13th. Our theory was that he wanted to make sure we weren't drinking, so that's why he made us roll down both windows on the right side. Also, I was technically speeding, but was going with the flow of traffic. The police officer was a younger Asian/Pacific Islander guy.
