I've gotten warned for tint like 4 times now, it's always a second thought from the officer, like "BTW, your front tint is illegal".

I've been lucky, Ive been pulled over by some really nice guys, helps to tell them that you're POST certified.

 

100% luck that a cop who is a car enthusiast didn't pick on you.

IMO if you weren't white, most of this would be a different story. Call me racist, but its reality.

Believe it or not, there are nice cops out there, I know because I've been pulled over by them over the years... As long as you're nice and communicative, keep your hands visible, turn off your car, and just be courteous in general, then you'll usually get a good response in return.

If you're an *** the cop is going to do the same.

Whine all you want and really pretend racism is gone. There are some nice cops, but the color of your skin does matter in many other cases.

 

im actually taking a class on racial formation right now and i totally agree with iLogin. A lot has been prevented since the civil rights movement but it is still present in our country.

 

I think a lot also has to do with location as well. For example, if you around the area that I live (East Side SJ), cops are known to pull your over for dumb reasons.

What is the cop was not white? I just did what Danial said, I had my car off, hands on the wheel with my palms up, and I told him everything I was about to do before I did it. He asked for my reg and I told the cop it's in my glove box, man I open it and grab it for you. Respect the cop and talk to him nice and kind and they will do the same back.

Nope. I 100% disagree. I got ref'd by 2 cops who were whiter than virgin snow. I've never been cut a break, EVER, by any cop regardless if their skin matched mine or not.

I'm white, clean cut, respectful, honest and compliant. My skin color hasn't done me a damn bit of good.
