I got kicked off my parent's health insurance because I got too old (24) =P. In any case, I decided not to go with my work's health insurance because I figured I didn't need it. So while I'm shopping online because I wanted to get some insurance to be safe, I go to these websites that have the so called comparisons between insurances.

I guess that's the market for the future because right after I submit an application, I get numerous amounts of places calling me and trying to sell me insurance and give me information on shopping for health insurance. Kinda insane, the calls were 10 seconds after I submitted my general information (age, location) for the quotes online. They're like a bunch of sharks waiting for the prey to jump into the water... anyone else had this happen? Experiences?

 

You don't want to get it through work where your employer likely pays part of the premium and you can pre-tax the rest, but instead you want to go out to buy it on your own with post-tax dollars?
