Cobb DP will mate to the factory CBE

i also carry/have a 3" to stock CBE adapter on the shelf for full 3" dp's to factory cbe

*but with a 2002 WRX, you need to run EMS (i.e. cobb AP, etc..)

Yes the cobb downpipe will mate to the stock CBE. The cobb dp tapers to 2.5in and you just reuse your stock donut gasket from the oem downpipe.

I think it depends on what kind of downpipe you are running. Some might mate up, and others won't. If you look at the stock catback, it's a "donut" type flange, whereas most downpipes are flat-style flanges. I believe there are adapters out there that allow the two to mate up.

if you are running a 3" flanged dp, you will need something like this

http://www.eliteawd.com/fadogaad.html

we have that in stock ^^^^

if you have a cobb dp, it will bolt up fine to the factory cbe as its not a true full 3" dp.

yes you can if its a cobb, it will still allow for a 3" CBE even though it tapers...NOT IDEAL but it can be done.

Have you looked into the TurboXS stealth back? It uses a 4" downpipe, 3" midpipe and then you use the stock axle back.
