SCCA AutoX Boondoggle @ Oakland 2/19
When I started, I was told OSP is was a catch-all class where you can do whatever you want as long as the car runs on DOT R compound tires and was registered for the street at one time. It doesn't have to be presently registered.
In the past there were gutted starlets running in OSP. The cars were practically built for the Prepared class, but didn't want to run on non-DOT racing tires. So, in short, you do not need to have passenger seats. But, you won't be able to give any rides

What Glen said. As long as you show up before noon to register you can run in the afternoon groups. Also, please make sure your battery has a tie down of some sort and is secure. I've done tech before and seen a few cars without tie downs; no secured battery = car isn't safe to run.

So I stopped by Helmet City in Oakland today to purchase a helmet and they ended up being closed.
Is there a place in San Jose that's open or can I just rent a helmet at the event?

If you still want to get your own helmet, you can go to any place that sells motorcycle helmets. Just make sure the helmet is a SNELL approved helmet.

It was hard to miss Justin. While driving to get his car on grid, he forgot to secure the hood and it flew off flipping in the air a few times
