Hahaha no just a 18x10.5 +14. Haven't pulled the trigger on the 11s yet. I fit some 11 +10 but they were kinda heavy. Not sure the weight penalty is worth the extra 1/2"

Either way they are still HUGE. Look fantastic though.

10.5" is good, but you need to step up to some 315s.

Yes this is a point of return. And I think 275's for autocross are wide enough. Unless you are pushing big power. But then again. That brings lag..

Just make sure you can meet sound regulations.

100 db at 50'. We don't want to lose sites due to noise complaints.

However, your car didn't sound too loud when I saw you at the skidpad at Subiefest.

Crap... Now I'm kicking myself for not going. After auto-xing for years in Hawaii I got bored with it... Barely into boost and more of a heel/toe braking, speed shift contest. Tires barely get hot, etc.. Never ran a course that was all second gear, sometimes rapping off the limiter. Looking at this course in the video makes me wish I had gone.

However, reading a couple of the thread comments makes me think that this was a "fast" course for the Bay Area .

Comments?

I guess this was a fast course for the Bay Area, but really it was just a course that flowed REALLY well with some pinch spots. I didn't pop my limiter so I don't consider it a "fast" course. If you want fast, hit up an AAS event down in Marina (next one is March 3-4). Geared more towards American muscle, their courses always flow well (designer has made SCCA National courses in the past) and are quite fast. I regularly pop my 8500rpm limiter and shift to 3rd there

3rd gear at an auto-x? I must be back on the mainland lol!

This course looked so "wide open" and flowing compared to the cone-choked, go kart track that is used in Hawaii. It looked like a *lot* of fun actually. Your vid made me wish I was there..

Are you heading to the event in Marina in March?

It was a blast to drive. Like xtremeyolks said it just flowed really well and allowed you to really get on the car a bunch.

Here is a video of one of my runs from outside the car. Not as fast as Karlton but still gives you an idea of the course.

Nice! Very cool to see the outside perspective as well as the in-car from Karlton. Nice 07 btw!

Me thinks I'll have to come to (at least) the next event at the O.Co.

Tempted to head down to Marina for one of the AAS events as well. Looking at events on where2race or something or other.

This event was so much fun I can't wait to try it out again. Although, next time
I'm going to take down my roof rack and swap out my winter wheels/tires.

Here is a vid of my second run.
