That would be 5 guys and 3 cameras. Woot! I might try and borrow another one.

Snowing today through Monday it looks like. Finally getting an extended storm so we should have pow both days. And St. Patty's in Murphy's is epic!

NOT IT!
I'm getting sick too. Damnit!!! Nothing is keeping me from the pow though.

They shut down almost all the lifts at like 1pm last Sunday because of wind, and it was NOT that bad. I was pretty disappointed in their decision to do that.

I worked as a lifty at windy-*** Mammoth so I'm familiar with how those Doppelmyer (sp?) lifts automatically shut off if they swing too far, but come on, the gusts were only at ~50mph. That's not that bad. We shut down the top of Mammoth when it hit gusts of like 80

I was at Northstar last year when It hit like 120 mph on the top, was crazy seeing people still on the lift and watching them bob around on the chairs.

4-7 feet at bear valley in this storm
5-8 feet in tahoe.

Bear Valley
Tuesday 5 inches. Rained Wed. 8 inches wed night. Rain/slush/snow today. Up to 16 inches today and overnight with levels dropping to 5000 feet tomorrow with another 10-16 tomorrow. 6-10 sat. 1-2 sunday.

So be very very careful out there. This has been and will continue to be a windy storm with very heavy flurries... and it's wet with temperatures lowering as the days progress. Suppose to be cold as hell this weekend.

It's gonna be crazy out there. My advice... if you're not an advanced rider stay on the runs as avi dangers will be high with the way this storm is rolling through. Don't ride solo. And if you're not a very comfortable snow driver... DO NOT go up friday night.

And if you've got vacation time... USE IT Monday should be epic.

Exactly my thinking. Accuweather says slight chance of snow with NO wind.

Sat could be MASSIVE. Lows around 10-14 degrees with moments of crazy dumping. I wouldn't be surprised if tahoe gets around 30 inches in that 24 hr period.
