Up in Tahoe now. Snows melting and everyone was at the beach tanning and bbqing

 

I ain't heard no fat lady singing yet, people!

I'm actually doing a daytrip to The Wood 2mrw to cruise the 4"-6" of freshies they're expecting. I've got 2 open seats & a roof rack in my wagon. I'm leaving from V-town @0515.

There are TONS of tix for sale on craiglist... like 20 - 30 bux. You can also use any of those Shell 2-for-1's you may have collecting dust. The current walk-up price at the resort is $59.

Anyone down?

 

Talk to Little Jeff. He's got like 4 passes to the wood to burn up.

 

I'm thinking of going this weekend but I'll probably also bring my MTN bike just in case the snow sucks.

 

Had a blast @ The Wood yesterday! Lower mtn had abt 2-3" of fresh while the upper had at least twice that. Some areas up top had pockets w/ 8+" (likely due to being wind-blown). Twice dropped the cornice looker's left of the famous chutes @ the top of 10, sessioned the trees & gullies, and d0rked around the left side kickers in the park. The ones on the right were a li'l too burly for this ol' man.

I may head up again tmrw. I have a Groupon 2-day voucher that I planned (or sell to someone) to use next wknd , but it sounds like they may close up shop tmrw (I am disappoint.), so I'll have to get some value outta the thing & do the day trip dealio all over again.

 

So they're expecting another dusting tomorrow. And luckily The Wood decided to re-open for at least one more weekend, so I'll be able to use my Groupon voucher. I'd say TWO days of shredding for ONLY 30 bucks is a helluva deal, wouldn't y'all?!?

So far, I'm solo. I just posted on my usual Yahoo group for Bay Area Snowboarders & Skiers, but thought I'd see if we got any fellow Subie-heads who might be interested.

I'm rolling up from Vallejo early Fri morning & heading back to the Bay on Sat afternoon after another day of getting my slide on. Depending on how many folks end up joining in, I'm looking to stay @ an inexpensive motel near the 50/89 "Y" in South Lake or the RockStar Lodge & Hostel in Kirkwood.

Hit me up if any of y'all are interested.

Welcome to i-club, bruddah. Nice all-mtn freestyle set-up... Agent Rocker paired w/ some 390s, right? I'll admit that I had to look up da board though.

I myself rock an '07 Agent. Rome was fiddling w/ the flex pattern for a couple yrs back then, and luckily I caught the season that it was on the stiffer side. I freeride way, way, way more than I'm hitting straight airs off cheese wedges or busting a 50/50 or boardslide on a box/rail.
