When I was in grade school, in my small 1 horse town that I grew up in in the Sierras, there was a bus driver who was just a straight **** (We onlyhad 6 busses).
His name was John Vining, and we had only like a 100 page phone book. We had only 1 pizza place in town (Home of the 1st "The Pizza Factory", now a global chain), and it was a dine-in/take out place (No delivery up in the mountains).
When we would have sleep overs with our friends, we would normally order "John Vining" about $50 worth of Pizza! We would leave his phone number. It is double bad, because everybody knew everybody up there.

Your friend at the PD can be fired for giving you this information...Also, the vehicle actually attemptd to run you off the road, which is Attemted Assualt with a dEADLY wEAPON (THE WEAPON IS THE CAR). It is illegal for the Police to not take a report and a violation of policy for them o tell you they won't do any thing about it. That is what they are paid for. Hopefully you got the ding dong 's name you spoke with before so you can throw him down in a Formal Complaint against the department. Grow a set, go down there in person...DEMAND to speak to a supervisor. You are the VICTIM of a VIOLENT CRIME!!!!!!
But only mention where you got the reg info if you want that CONNECTION of yours to face criminal and civil charges as well as get be FIRED>please tell that idiot friend of yours that if he likes his freedom, he best not violate others freedom or he faces all kinds of living hell for the rest of his idiotic life. And don't breathe another word unless you want them using you as a witness in an internal investigation....they can track you and him down...there is obviously no right to privacy since a crime already occurred...his crime of running the plate and telling you where to find him! My gawd, I am sitting here in awe of the stupidity!~

Going back to the PD now, could land me in trouble. This is nothing about growing a set at this point, I f'd up, and have learned many lessons. I have been treated like a criminal and I don't feel like getting in trouble over this. Karma will take its course.....

Taking some action.........
I talked to a friend of mine at the Fairfax Police today. He reccomended that I go back, (as some have suggested) and report how I was treated by the officer to the chief. My officer friend said that me getting the info. on the driver is irrelevant to what occured. And further, how the officer handled it, was wrong.

Stick it to that guy...it's about time at least one of these freakin idiots feels at least a little bit back for their foolishness.
Just the other night I was driving on 880 in the slow lane...about a half mile from the exit I was gonna take this guy cuts me off..he was two lanes over and just flew right in front of me....I mean...we are talken a few feet and I was moving faster than his lane...so I flashed him...mind you it's day time. Just to say...hey man that wasn't cool....
This bastard slams on his brakes and i had to swerve around him...into the exit lane....I take the exit...get to the light and this *** hole has his window down and is challenging me to a fight...I sware he had short man issues. I basically just told him he was an fing idiot for doing what he did..then raging on me then following me to fight me...I couldn't roll my windows down cause I just got them tinted.....a couple lights later he is still there yelling at me...I just drove away...but man I was extremely close to stepping out of my car and just walking over and busting his jaw before he could even get out of the car....but then I would get arrested. I would have ruined that idiot..I am a decent sized guy and weigh about 235 pounds......what an idiot.
I am amazed at how stupid people will drive...and how hazerdous they will drive and then they get pissed when you try to pass them or flash them to inform them of their mistakes.....or that you want to pass you know....it's freakin dangerous.....like on highway 17 when people go 40 in the left lane and refuse to get over..then I got some jackass riding my butt like I am slowing traffic...that is why people die on that road.
