We all get in cars everyday don't we? So STFU about self inflicted wounds. You take a chance everyday on the road, whether fate has chosen you, or you dug your own fate it's all the same.
Who here follows the speed limit EXACTLY? Going 70 in a 65 mph zone must be some "self inflicted wound" too? Are you just stupid? Should I just slap you myself?
Yes I'll admit I flamed you, you deserved to be flamed. Karma comes back.
My sympathy goes out for him and the family.

He voted, he rolled the dice, he killed his own sorry ***.
Sympathy to the family, none to him. Were not talking about 70 in a 65, were talking about seriously ****ed up stuff.
Would you still be standing up for this ***** (yes, mail the family that I said that, Id say it on TV too) if he killed someone else?
Ya..seems a good portion of you -are- in fact disconnected from reality enough to defend that too.

I met Taylor at the Stevens Creek Subaru Dealership a few times and he even dropped by the I-Speed "garage" while we were in San Jose. He was really enthusiastic about Subaru's and was a very nice guy to have a conversation with on many occasions.
I wish his family and friends the best in these hard times.
Sincerely,
William T. Knose Jr.

This was SOMEONES life, not some just wrecking their car. Is there any information on a memorial service or a candle light visual or something? I would like to attend and support this kid and his family.
BTW: It's vigil, not visual, and they're usually held for murder victims, not people who kill themselves while running from the cops at triple digit speeds.

I do feel for his family and his friends, but not him. The mere fact that he's dead is not a reason to illicit sympathy, at least from me anyway.

WorldRally....you join the board only to have your first comment be something like this. Come on. did you not read anything at all?
Don't go picking out one of our long time members and start talking out of your ***.
it doesn't matter whether this was some poor schmuck or whatever. The fact of the matter is he was a young man that mad some VERY VERY poor CHOICES and he paid the ultimate price for them. That should be enough "justice" for someone like you that you could probably refrain from being an *******.
And they have vigil for all sorts of people. You think all those flower crosses you see on the side of the road are from "murder" victims? Or perhaps maybe a person or two that made a bad choice. Like driving drunk or not getting enough sleep and driving sleepy. Or someone that just screwed up and lost control?
I think everyone realizes that this could have been much worse....an officer could have been killed. Another driver. A kid sleeping in bed if he had missed those poles and went through a house..who knows.
But this was not something like he set out to hurt someone. He freaked out and made a couple bad choices.
Bottom line....he paid the price. We can all STFU. and yes I did say WE.
Back off princess noob.

Who cares I would be dead. Obviously my friends and family would be very hurt by my death if this had happened to me, but they also would be dissapointed by my poor judgement and angry at me for causing my own death.
What I meant by the respones is everyone has a right to thier opinion. Some people are just a little more tactfull in stating thier opinion than others.
The thing I hope people get out of this thread is to think about the possible consequences of thier actions while driving or doing anything for that matter. That your actions impact other people, from your family to the fireman that has to cut you out of your car, they are all affected by the choices you made.
