Lurk,
Thanks ill keep that in mind.
as far as the story goes i its pretty undeniable it was the other parties fault just buy the amount of damamge
Had the other driver stopped we would have been talking about a couple of crumpled bumpers and panels
Instead we have a impact that demolished the side of my car and rotated it.
I have the police report and it also concluded that the other driver is at fault judging by the force of impact.

It isn't a question of fault at this point. The other person's insurance rep's job is to try to get you to take as little as possible for the accident though. Decide what you want, be reasonable, and stick to your guns. I was in a similar situation in an accident, I hit HIM, but he was on the phone and pulled out in front of me. Dude behind him stopped and gave me his card and said it was definitely that guy's fault. His insurance company STILL tried to get me to admit I was speeding or wasn't paying attention; ANYTHING to try to use against me if it went to court. I was on time and doing the speed limit and the skid marks back that up. They even offered me cash to settle before everything was done being evaluated! I almost got a lawyer when they did that, but they backpedaled and just gave me what I asked for (I had receipts for everything, that helps a LOT).

and we are talking stock too
of course mine was in very good condition. The interior was flawless with even the a/c vents clean as if it was still new ... the exterior didnt have any dents and the paint was glossy as can be.
I really hope we are not to far off in price when they call me in the next 2.

had a lump in my throat seeing it being loaded up and hauled off...
i got a settlement just shy of 12k for the car but id still prefer to have this never happened.
I believe in the saying "things happen for a reason" and so i have to move on. To what exactly.. idunno
I'd like to replace it with a white 05 STi but that seems unlikely as most STi's are beat or priced at damn near its MSRP of 10 years ago

gahhhhh sucks! I've always been a fan of your WRX since I came over to i-club in 04.
I'll be interested to see what you end up getting next when all is said in done. Maybe you can come over to the sleeper side and get an FXT!!! Cops don't bother, insurance is way cheaper than a WRX, great space without being too big. STI compatible parts!
