Missed the start of Slush series
Did anybody go to the 1st event for the slush series auto-x? I forgot to check the calender, so I didn't know it had started already. Oh well, October 4th is the next event.

On a related note, I think I'm going to let my SCCA membership lapse.
I just got the renewal, $70???
When I used to do the slush series with my BMW 2002, it was like $30-35.

Yup 5 STis and an Evo. Plain Jane WRXs are so 2 years ago.
It was cute how Chris and Paul had thier proteges to mooch off. You guys made it look easy. And those tires hardly looked worn, especially for 2 drivers!
Rob and I did a lot towards wearing out his poor MXs.

I only ran a 46 at the end of fun runs. I figured out that right turn after the sweeping left after where you were working was quite a bit faster than I initially realized.
Officially I ran a mid 47 clean and a 47.2(+1), Chris was running similar times.
The owner of the black one, Jason, ran a low 47 during fun runs. I'm not sure it was a good idea to get him autocrossing

What times were being run in the STI's? Our very own Bong in only his second outing in a WRX ran 46's in a WRX with only Turbo back and decent tires (brakes were shot and tires were way under pressure)

Mostly mid to low 47s, bone stock.
I heard an STi in the morning ran a 46 flat. I ran a high 46 in fun runs.
46's with a D-Stock WRX is pretty damn good. Of course Bong is a pretty good driver also.

stratos - Yea although there is something a little weird about the tires on that car (I would explain if I understood what it was!)
PaulC - Not sure the car Bong was piloting would qualify for D Stock but it does for SM. You must have loved the more available power of the STI and I know the brakes were making Bong jealous.
I wish I had Chris face on camera when I came up behind him asking if the car was a STI!! Priceless...

Was Bong driving a two driver silver WRX?
I was working the slalom during the SM group and one of those guys clobbered the beginning cone EVERY FREAKIN TIME
They were hauling *** though. There were a few other WRXs in that group also.. which one was he in? Were you driving it also?
I read "turbo back" as "cat back" so I guess that car is SM. Could fit in ESP too.. he would have annoyed the Moostangs
