You mean the Rüf-tuned 911 Turbos, the AMG S65's, the Audi R8 V12's, and at least half a dozen other high-performance European-spec cars won't keep up?

Wow. I hope your car is tuned for at least the WHP level of the LIC Motorsports Subaru STi that they campaign in the Takata Time Attack series.

Oh you are so right. Are such cars very common? I wouldn't be able to get anywhere in that country because i'd be too busy fapping. LOL

They aren't common. That is true. I was passing fools right and left in my crap 318i rental. The Autobahn is fun! We actually maxed the thing out at ~220kph.

Germans like fine things and usually spend their money on their homes or vacationing... Cars are a very bad investment and unless you're rich it's not logical to buy a 100k car just to drive fast on the autobahn (In the eyes of the efficient Germans, lol). It's not like here where gas is $4... Gas over there is like $8 a gallon for regular, so double. It's probably even more now.

I also think a highly tuned EVO would DESTROY ANY production M car like it was NOTHING. Maybe not to 200mph (No gears for the poor EVO) but it could easily beat an M5 or whatever you throw at it from 0 to 156mph, thats when you run out of gears and slow down for sanity sake, lol.

I have a rich cousin who invests in real estate and he took me around in his porsche turbo.... Going 180mph (Nearly, 175 rather) is unlike any other feeling I have ever felt. I was so fing scared. You have no idea how little sound deadening a Porsche has, it's LOUD past 130ish. We slowed to around 120 (MILES, not KM)mph and felt like we were going backwards, so slow compared to 175. We did it in the friggin day, everyone gets out of the way with the quickness. I get anxiety just thinking about that lunatic. lol

BTW, I put over 100 miles on my car since the CEL was cleared and no signs of anything bad. Think it could have been a fluke due to a dirty coil? Its cold as hell and Im lazy right now but will check all coil wires tomorrow hopefully.

+1

most of those cars are marketed to US buyers anyway, or really high profile people who have images to uphold.
