I put everything back to stock....still no luck. With 2000mi left on the warranty, Carlsen here I come! Something real screwy is happening and from what I've gathered from numerous sources, it has nothing to do with my gauge install.....just a freak coincidence or something. I just really hope I will not have to come out of my pockets.

Thanks to everyone that tried to help.

Mexicanpizza: Glad the vf34 worked out nicely....I would love to feel your new found power if I see ya in millbrae sometime!

For some reason it sounds like your MAF is not plugged in. And a vac leak.

I have an OEM install here :

Peaty: where is the MAF??? I've already put everything back to stock and the problem still persists. Any other info would be very helpful. Thanks!

Hey frank...if you want me to help you take a look at it, hit me up via PM and we can meet in millbrae during the day.

It might be easier to isolate the hissing with two people.

Really appreciate the offer eric But at this point I'm trying to not drive the car at all. First appointment @ subaru is Friday morn so she's going to sit in my driveway till then.
Luckily I have access to a car until i get it taken care of. I just hope carlsen won't shaft me w/ a "Oh you have ____ and ____ on your car so that voids your warranty." Subaru's famous last words.
If that happens, I'll have to put one of these  in their
So anyone know what MAF peaty is talking 'bout?

The MAF is the sensor that is on the accordion pipe (intake) at the front left of the engine bay. There is a harness that needs to click into place.

But if you were messing around with the boost hoses, that's most likely the problem.

Is that where you tapped?

You could pull off the BOV and look at the hose underneath. Hissing and CELs sounds like a leak. It's the three bolds on those AC (?) lines at the base of the IC, then two more on the BOV.

So I brought it to subaru..... turns out there is a green plug on the bottom of the steering column that is to remain unplugged! during my install, I plugged it up thinking it should've been plugged in the 1st place.... anyway, problem is fixed.

Now, swapped my boost gauge in and I'm not boosting over 0.5 sometimes under full boost it will go up to 0.6. Is that normal for stock boost? Am I leaking? At idle, it reads -0.4, 1st gear @ 0-0.1 and full boost in 3rd or 4th @ 0.5-6. holds till redline though. Could this be caused by a vacuum leak? I've checked all the hoses, and can't seem to isolate the problem.

That stupid green plug! Hahahaha I almost plugged it in when I installed mine, luckily I'd read about it on nasioc first! That's great that the CEL's weren't anything serious.

You should be getting more than 0.05mpa. In 4th, at full throttle you should get ~0.09-0.1 mpa. If not something could be leaking.

You said you were getting hissing before, I would bet that's the cause of the problem.
