If Cueto gets back to his earlier form and get another ring then he'll get close to jumping Kershaw as a great pitcher with rings, at least that's my logic.
Kershaw should just dump the dodgers and jump ship to the Gaints and finally get a ring

Damn what the heck is going on with the Dodgers front office? Now Iwakuma resigns with the Mariners!
Not like I'm rooting for them but it seems like the front office has all of a sudden gotten really gun shy after being profligate spenders the last several years! Do they assume they have enough pitching? Are they going to go hard after Leake now?
Back on topic, with the Giants filling their rotation like this now and getting again in to luxury tax territory, will they still spend on a LF? At this point the draft might as well be shot and maybe go for a Justin Upton type of player?!

WTH? National beat writers are connecting Cespedes with the Giants?!
Sure, it would "sound" nice, but not sure if he plays well with others (aka team chemistry) and we're already in the luxury tax realm (although by a measly $1.8M)...
thoughts? is this reality?

While I'd love that lineup, rumor has it that Orioles and the White Sox are the ones hot to trot for Cespedes...
Where the Giants are in the second tier of bidders and waiting for his price to drop...
Hmmm. We'll see tho!

I'd say the higher chance of winning would be the Giants, if he wants to win that is.

I'm not sure how well Cespedes would fit in the clubhouse either. The remaining offseason should be interesting and worse case scenario, they don't pull the trigger on a left fielder before the season starts and they have a ton of money to go get someone to fill the hole before the trade deadline. Wouldn't be the end of the world, especially if you consider how well they've done with the mid-season acquisitions in the past five years.

They will be paying luxury tax this season, although I believe it's only a $2 million penalty. While they may go deeper into the tax for acquiring someone like Cespedes, I'm sure they'll be just fine without acquiring anyone else (less tax for them to pay).
