If you like the chance of possibly destroying your only good/consistant pitcher, sure. The only close game this series, was Game 3. The same pitchers are going tonight. Stick with the formula and have Madison ready to go for 2 innings of work. Starting him and expecting him to go 4+ innings is retarded and a recipe for injury. Despite his size, age and throwing style.

That's backwards thinking. He saved him for Game 7 incase he needs him. Why put him in last night in a blow out and not have him ready for tonight. He used the pitchers he doesn't plan to use tonight so that his other pitchers would be fully rested and ready to go.

exactly.
He's not going to use Lincecum unless he absolutely has to (i.e game goes over 10 innings and/or he's ran out of relief pitchers). Dude can't throw a fastball for a strike. If he was so important, he would've been used far more often in the postseason, rather than the 1 inning or so of work he's done so far. I get that he's still a fan favorite, but he's nowhere near the player he once was.

Like DatAWSTi said, it's not the smartest thing to do long term, but it's a risk you have to take to win a championship. Worry about the future stuff later. If they get blown out again like they did in game 6, everyone's going to play the "What if" scenario.
Also, in game 5, Bochy could've taken Bumgarner out in the 9th inning when they had a 5-0 lead, but he chose to keep him in just to get a complete game shutout. Maybe then he wouldn't have had to throw 100+ pitches.

You have a chance to win the World Series. If there's risks to take, it's to take it now. Getting to the WS, let alone winning one, is rare. The Giants might not make it back to the WS for another couple decades.

Considering he came in, pitched one solid inning and was pitching a second solid inning before hurting his back. 0 hits, 0 walks and 2 strike outs. I'd say he was doing a pretty effective job for 2 innings. Which is mostly what Bochy should be looking for unless it goes into extras.
Yes, but you never know what you're going to get with him. Probably why he hasn't pitched until that game. You could get lights out Timmy, or giving up extra base hits Timmy.
