As much as I hate to say it considering he is my favorite pitcher. I think he has lost his touch as a starting pitcher. If the giants keep him it will be only relief, unless he starts to throw like he use to....

I would guess you COULD see him if the Giants are up big, but again he's been instrumental for the other 2 world series, it might be someone else's turn to shine.

Ya I wouldn't expect to see him start. He did pretty good in relief for the pitches he threw before tweaking his back.

He even said that he doesnt mind sitting the bench during this time of the year. Saying it gives him a different perspective on the game. Maybe he will train hard in the off season! .....hopefully.

I'm stoked to see Peavy go at it again. He'll be on a short leash, naturally, but I have confidence that Bochy will sort it out once again. Petit is always there, lying in the weeds, ready to jump at the first sign of trouble.

He threw a no hitter this year, but that was the one bright spot.

Which shows he still has it. It's just the consistency of his pitching isn't like it use to be. He gets that back he'll be a great pitcher once again.

Bochy put Petit in a position with a high chance of failure. This game is pretty much over. Might as well just forfeit this game and return tomorrow. Start Bumgarner tomorrow over Hudson.
