Btw, the trade with the Royals giving up J. Sanchez for Melky has to be the biggest trade STEAL ever. Jonathan was clearly a 4-5 pitcher and Melky is pretty much the best player we have on the team offensive wise. Sure he might not pack the punch that Posey or Sandoval has, but he has speed, power, arm, accuracy, switch hitting. Pretty much everything you need in a solid baseball player.

the Giants would have been destroying the division if Lincecum... was at least .500. He's struggling so bad that I think after the allstar break he comes in at 4-5 somewhere before/after Zito. And if he sucks even more, I guarantee we'll see Penny start a few games.
To have someone win 2 Cy Young Awards, and then come in and just plain BOMB the season, have the highest ERA in the NL. I seriously think his awkward motion is already giving him trouble and it's something that will linger with him always. I doubt he'll bounce back and be a performer as he once was.

Bochy has him penciled in as the #2 starter in the rotation. They're not gonna give up on him just yet. That and the fact that Lincecum will make his 2nd half start at home, and not on the road.
Lincecum didn't get his win against the Astros, but at least he still showed he has the stuff. 8 zero run innings. That's all you could ask for.
As for H. Sanchez blowing the win, he made up for it. A 'W' is a 'W'.

Yeah I'd rather see a ND on Tim's record than a L too. Just as long as he's not giving up as much as his ERA says.
