Probably the right choice. But that's 2 years in a row they bring in a bust to start at qb only to have him lose the job to a rookie.
I only give them some credit since they did not anticipate getting Carr in the draft or having him excel as fast as he is. Maybe they can still trade Shaub for some more defensive depth?

Though if they want a high draft pick, maybe they should go out and get Curtis Painter to help them with that department.

I'm new to the area, die hard Raiders fan. will be going to some games. was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up and roll and talegate before the game? Or meet up somewhere and watch the away games at a bar?

Defense played decently..
But ****ing Olsen man. Vanilla *** offense again.
Put Saunders in there. I'm sure he knows to attack crappy CBs instead trying to run against a stout front 7.

I'm a season ticket holder, so I'll be at every home game this season. I'm definitely down to hang out before hand or anything. I've got a parking pass, so I can even drive if there are a few folks who want to carpool to a game or something.

We better win today. All three games were winnable games but we:
1) decided to not throw against weak jets CBs
2) turned over repeatedly to allow Texans to score repeatedly
3) again showed poor offensive output against NE
I basically feel that Olsen really ain't **** and can't make for an explosive offense. If they can then on the firepower we can win games.
But these WRs have to step up too. Oh and need to use Reece. Use him a lot. Make the defense honest.
If we go 0-4, hard to see even 2 wins later in the year.

The franchise has no leaders. From the front office and down on the field, there's no leadership.
RM cut out the fat and cleared the Raiders from cap purgatory, but still hasn't improved the talent or the coaching.
To echo what I heard on 95.7 this morning, Davis needs to offer a lot more $$$ to bring in a quality GM and HC. He'll have to overpay them, but it's small potatoes in the scheme of things. The franchise needs experienced leaders to guide them out of this disaster of an organization.
This was the same problem his dad fell into. After "firing" Gruden, he just plucked any HC willing to take the job and got what he paid for. He made a decent attempt with Norv, but he micromanaged him and every other HC rendering them useless.
Time to stop ****ing around with the worm and hook and go fishing for some whales.

Yea, leadership here is terrible, the players aren't playing or the culture isn't set yet since they got rid of the salary cap debt. There are some nice pieces there, but they gotta do something... their football games are getting more pathetic every time.
