I think the problem may be the rangers running out of change for 10s and 20s

Example - if 10 people pay for $6 parking with $20 then the ranger is going to need $140 in change in $1/5/10 which I don't think they'll have

I am not proud of my average speed driving any highway But i always tone it down when i'm driving with someone else in my car or caravaning with me. My dad actually taught me how to caravan so i think we'll do ok

I think the only solution is to do our part; by bringing exact change, that way we can help the rangers break other peoples change that haven't read this post. Ill be bringing exact change.

But if you guys who are meeting with me really can't find change, i'd be more then happy to run by my friend's shops near by and grab some $1s and $5s.

But please let me know ahead of time haha

Yeah make it 5 dollar parking, thats a good way to eliminate 80% if that problem.

I know we cant do anything but they might be forced to. However im sure we arent the first big group they have had to figure change for with $6 parking. Minus that $1 bill though and it would be smoother.

Yes! aspenforesterxt, pls seek out OneManArmy on Sun. It'd likely help out at some point. Look for one of the few red BAM2012 shirts; all the other ones will be charcoal grey I believe.

Perhaps, if the rangers allow it, we don't use the parking vending machine at all. People who pay get a small sticker on the windshield or something? Little late in the game to try to get that going but it is a thought.

Oh, and thanks for the thought of helping out the park staff.

Like was already said, the only real solution is to do our part & come prepared w/ EXACTLY $6 for the parking fee.

You're contributing to that solution by offering to hook up folks in the caravan you'll be rolling w/. It'd be HUGE help if all caravan leaders made sure everyone in their group was all set as far as change.

And Irish car bomb, let's hope the state does take your idea in the other direction. $10 is just as easy to take than $5. Luckily, we won't have to worry about this on Sun as I called the park's dept the other day to make sure there was NO special event or weekend pricing.

Yes it is a vending style machine, Like a train ticket or street parking ticket machine thing. There are options you must put in to the machine.

I think Ray has it figured out. Having someone from i-crub at the gate helping.

Yeah, that's me, bruddah.

I was thinking me & another parking crew guy would be collecting money along the line of cars to pay the ranger, but now it looks like we'll be feeding a machine. Whatever the case may be, we'll then distribute the receipt/parking stub back down the line.
